Brock Lesnar’s challenger
The new Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar, enters with Paul Heyman to open the show. Obvious boos coming from the crowd as he does the beatbox gesture with the title belt. We immediately go to the highlights from last night at Extreme Rules.
Heyman takes the mic and tells us that he told us that Brock Lesnar will cash in the MITB contract as the booing gets louder. He already told everyone to start looking for a challenger for Lesnar even before Extreme Rules but nobody listened to him. And now, they get to choose the challenger and they have decided to hold the 10-man battle royal. He shows everyone who will be the part of the Battle Royal one by one- Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, Roman Reigns, Cesaro, Big E, Braun Strowman, Bobby Lashley, Baron Corbin, etc.
Heyman also asks Roman Reigns to check with Seth Rollins before deciding to step into the ring for Battle Royal. Because last time Rollins entered Philadelphia, he was Becky Lynch’s stud but got battered by Lesnar. Roman should not put his health and welfare on the line for Universal title. As Lesnar stepped out, Ricochet made his entrance. Lesnar is not happy with Ricochet at all but leaves for the backstage.
The Usos & Ricochet defeated the Revival & Robert Roode in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match
Ricochet unloads on Dawson with his moves with the Usos early on and they get the first fall very early in the match. Roode comes in for his team and squares off with Ricochet. Ricochet hits a flurry of moves for a two count before he brings in Jey. Roode plants him with a spinebuster for a two count. Wilder comes in and continues to control Uso with some underhand tag team tactics. Jimmy gets the tag and hits a Samoan drop. Roode distracts him and Dawson hits a flapjack for the pin to get the second fall.
The Revival and Roode and working on Jimmy Uso, who’s struggling to tag Ricochet and Jimmy inside. Scott Dawson quickly tags in and prevents Jey from making the tag, but he manages to outsmart them and tags in Ricochet. He takes out Roode with a springboard crossbody and counters the Glorious DDT and hits a knee to the face. The high-flyer climbs up and hits the 630 for the pin and the win.
AJ Styles comes out after the match with Gallows & Anderson. Ricochet splashes on him before anything can happen and he gets beaten down by Gallows & Anderson. The Usos save him but The Revival start supporting them. The Usos still manage to clean house but Robert Roode was able to get the upper hand. The Revival come in and hit both The Usos with the Shatter Machine. Ricochet splashes on The Revival and Roode, but he gets turned upside down with a Phenomenal Forearm and is put down by a magic killer from the Good Brothers.
The Viking Raiders defeated Enhancement Talent
We get a backstage video promo from the Viking Raiders while they make their entrance. They tell us that they are savages and brutal. Erick corners one of the opponents while Ivar hip tosses the other into the ring. They continue decimating them for a minute or so before hitting their finisher and get another squash win.
