Welcome to night 2 of NXT Takeover: Stand & Deliver 2021 as we bring you the live results, updates, winners and highlights of the show.
Night 1 was main-evented by NXT Women’s Title match where Raquel Gonzalez won the title from Io Shirai. You can check the results from night 1 here.
Night 2 will see Finn Balor defend the NXT Championship against Karrion Kross. 2 more titles – NXT Cruiserweight Championship and NXT North American Championship will also be on the line. The co-main event will see Adam Cole battle against his former Undisputed ERA mate Kyle O’Reilly.

NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver 2021 Night 2 Main Show
Poppy’s performance starts the night 2 of NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver.
Jordan Devlin(c) vs Santos Escobar(c) – Title Unification Ladder Match for NXT Cruiserweight Championship
They start with quick punches. Devlin takes Escobar down with an armdrag. Some back and forth and Devlin sends Escobar out of the ring. Devlin hits a moonsault from the apron. He throws in Escobar and brings out a ladder from underneath the ring. Escobar comes to the floor only to run over by Devlin’s ladder. Devlin tries to bring down the title but Escobar comes in to bring him down. Escobar tries to powerbomb Devlin into the ladder. Devlin counters but Escobar manages to counter a whip to send him into the ladder.
Devlin bounces to the floor. Escobar goes out and hits big running knee. Escobar sets up another Ladder at the ringside. He slams Devlin’s face to the apron and goes into the ring. As he was setting up the ladder when he saw Devlin coming in and dropkicks Ladder into Devlin. Escobar hits Devlin’s ribs with Ladder a few times. He brings out another ladder into the ring and sets it up under the title.
Escobar has set up a ladder on one of the turnbuckles but Devlin counters to send him into it. Devlin stops for a breather and Escobar recovers to slam his ribs into the ladder. Escobar tries to monkey flip Devlin into the Ladder but Devlin lands on the ladder and tries to bring down the titles. Escobar quickly hits a DDT to stop him. Escobar’s suicide dive takes Devlin into a ladder set up at the ringside.
Escobar gets in the ring. Devlin crawls back. Escobar toys at him and tries to go for a hammerlock move but Devlin back body drops him into a ladder. They start trading punches in the ring now. Devlin ducks a punch but Escobar hits a jumping knee. Devlin hits a Spanish fly in the middle of the ring. He hits a neckbreaker next. Devlin sets up a ladder in the corner. A headbutt from Devlin before climbing the ladder. Escobar follows but eats some punches to fall down. Devlin hits a moonsault from the top of the ladder on Escobar.
Devlin goes to bring down the title but Legado Del Fantasma attack and takes him out. They go back after acknowledging Escobar. Escobar sets up and climbs the ladder. Devlin comes into the ring with a ladder of his own. They fight at the top of the ladder. Devlin hits a Spanish fly from the top of the ladder.
Devlin is the first one to get to his feet and starts to climb the ladder. He gets his finder tips on the titles when Escobar comes up from the other end. Escobar pushes Devlin into a ladder into the corner. The ladder breaks as Devlin falls on it. Escobar comfortably brings down the titles to win the match and become the undisputed Cruiserweight champion.
Winner- Santos Escobar(undisputed Cruiserweight Champion)
Santos Escobar celebrates and reaches the ring. Legado Del Fantasma join him at the stage and so does his 9 year old son who is in Luchador mask. Escobar hands the other title belt to his son.
Earlier today, we see Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly being escorted by security as they enter the building.
Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart(c) vs Indi Hartwell & Candice LeRae – NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship
The Way attack right after the bell. They beat up Shotzi in the ring. They corner her and Candice hits a few shoulder tackles. Indi with a side slam as she tags in to get a two-count. Indi slams Shotzi’s face into turnbuckle as Candice tags in. Candice with a bulldog. Shotzi tries to fight back but gets slammed to the mat for another two-count. Candice with a headlock and the crowd gets behind Shotzi. Candice keeps control though and brings in Indi.
Candice tags in and Indi hits a big boot as she goes out. Candice tries to use ropes for leverage on the pin but the referee catches them. Shotzi counters as she looks to tag out but Indi tags in quickly to stop her. Shotzi with an step-up enziguiri and tags in Moon. Moon with quick kicks. She drops Indi from the apron. More kicks to Indi. Ember dances and does DX signature move before a big punch.
Moon goes to the top. Indi runs interference. Shotzi also comes in and they do a tower of doom. All 4 women are down. Indi gets up and gets a couple of two counts. Indi hits a pop-up powerbomb on Moon. Candice tags in as they wanted to double team. Moon pushes Candice into Indi and tags in Shotzi. Shotzi clears Indi from the ring. She hits a suplex on Candice before hitting Tope Suicida on both opponents. Moon goes to the top and hits a senton on both opponents.
Back to the ring, they hit a double team move but Candice kicks out. Candice tries to roll up but only gets two. Candice takes a cheap shot at Ember on the apron. Indi tags in for a double team move and Ember breaks the tag. Ember takes out Candice. Shotzi hits a step-up enziguiri on Indi. Ember tags in to hit an assisted eclipse before Shotzi hits Indi with a top rope senton to get the win.
Winners – Ember Moon & Shotzi Blackheart(retains NXT Women’s Tag Team titles)
NCAA Division I Champion Gable Stevenson is in the audience with Stephaine McMahon.
Johnny Gargano(c) vs Bronson Reed – NXT North American Championship
Austin Theory is at the ringside for the match. The bell rings and Gargano tries to run around Reed. Reed brings him down and hits a shoulder tackle. Gargano tries to take him down with headscissors but Reed lands on his feet to his athleticism. Reed with more attack. Reed hits the fallaway slam next. Gargano slips out from the scoop. He hits a big elbow and slingshot spear but is unable to bring down Reed. Reed chops him to bring him down.
Gargano counters in the corner and quickly hits a chop block and a crossbody to take down Reed. Gargano with knees and more moves as he tries to keep Reed down. They slip out to the floor. Gargano sends Reed into the announce table and Reed hurts his ribs. Gargano unloads on Reed in the corner. Reed picks him up but misses the hip drop. Gargano with a splash to get a two-count. Gargano with more strikes in the ribs. Gargano hits a few knees into the ribs as he keeps control.
Reed gets back to his knees and then to his feet. Gargano jumps on his back and Reed slams him into the corner. Reed scoops him for a big slam. Reed with shoulder tackles and a corner splash. A chokeslam follows. Gargano is checked by the referee. Reed picks him for a vertical suplex. Gargano hits his knee to Reed’s face and Reed changes the move to an F5 to get a two-count. Reed is selling his ribs. Reed goes to the second rope for a superplex but Gargano bring him down and hits a backstabber to get a two-count.
Gargano with big forearm. Reed gets up but eats a superkick. Reed hits a suplex to slow him down. Reed goes to the top but had to stop as Gargano rolls away. He misses a running senton and Gargano tries a crucifix pin. Gargano runs the ropes and swings Reed into the GargaNo lock. Reed drags himself to the ropes for the break. Reed with a big forearm and throws Gargano on his back.
Reed misses Tsunami and Gargano hits a superkick to get another near fall. Reed with a headbutt and a clothesline. He goes to the top again. Gargano distracts the referee and Austin Theory runs in. Reed deals him the first time but he returns to delay Reed’s move. Reed counters the hurricanrana and slams Gargano to the mat. Reed goes for the cover but Austin puts Gargano’s leg on the ropes.
Reed beats up Austin and Gargano on the floor before taking out Theory with a suicide dive. Reed hits the Meltzer driver but gets a near fall only. Gargano hurts Reed’s ribs with the ropes and hits back-to-back superkicks. Reed hits a superkick of his own but misses the moonsault from the top. Gargano hits back-to-back slingshot DDTs to get the pin.
Winner- Johnny Gargano(retains NXT North American title)
Finn Balor(c) vs Karrion Kross(w/ Scarlett) – NXT Championship
We get the hype package for the match. Pete Dunne, Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan are in the front row of the crowd. The End is Here as Karrion Kross makes his entrance with Scarlett. We see Finn Balor’s various TakeOver wins on the screens in the arena as he starts his entrance.
“Kross is gonna kill you” chants as they face-off to start. After a stare-off, they lock up. Kross slams Balor’s face to the mat immediately. They circle each other now and Kross gets on the waist lock. Balor was quick to work on his arm. Balor with a headlock now and keeps it on for a while. Kross throws him at the ropes and hits a big shoulder tackle. Balor circles him and hits a sidekick and chop. Kross tosses him across the ring. Balor is smiling at Kross and Kross gets angry.
Balor slaps Kross. Kross picks him up and slams him in the corner. Kross with big tackles. Kross whips him to the other corner and hits more tackles. Kross misses a big tackle in the corner and Balor gets his chance to start working on his shoulder and arm. Kross gets him on his back and slams to the turnbuckle. Kross with big strikes. He sells his arm a bit before hitting a suplex. He hangs Balor upside down in the corner and hits a big running knee to the ribs.
Kross scoops Balor and Balor turns it into an armbar, wrapping his legs across Kross’ shoulder. Kross tries to reach the ropes but changes his mind and overpowers Balor to get to his feet. Balor hits the DDT to keep him down. Balor continues to work on the shoulder methodically. Balor with the chops and a spin kick to the midsection. Balor hits more kicks to the shoulder and midsection. Balor stretches Kross using the ropes and hits big blows on the open body.
Balor runs the ropes and Kross gets the change to clothesline him. Kross scoops Balor and slams him from corner to corner. Balor hits the willow’s bell to the chest. Balor kicks at his face as Kross hypes up. They counter each other and Kross hits a powerbomb for a near fall. Kross gets ready to finish off Balor. Balor with the double leg takedown and stomps Kroos on his chest. Balor stretches Kross and hits elbows to his ribs. Kross tosses him but Balor hits the Slingblade.
Kross drops Balor and then hits a suplex. Kross gets ready for the finisher but runs into the Pele kick. Balor with quick dropkicks and gets to the top to hit Coupe De’ Grace. Balor goes to cover but Kross turns it into his straight jacket submission. Balor uses the ropes and roll out and hits another stomp. Balor with knees in the ribs and uses a submission move stretching the shoulders.
Kross overpowers out it and unloads at Balor back. Kross hits a German suplex. Kross hits the doomsday side suplex. Balor gets to his feet and Kross hits a big knee in the corner. Balor back to his feet again and Kross with a big elbow to the back of his head and gets the pin.
Winner – Karrion Kross(new NXT Champion)
Adam Cole vs Kyle O’ Rielly – Unsanctioned Match: No Rules, No Liabilities
The security is still there at backstage as both men march to the ring. Kyle O’Rielly makes his entrance first. Adam Cole comes out and the secuirty is still there until the announcement gets done.
