- Finn Balor defeated Johnny Gargano
- Rhea Ripley(c) defeated Bianca Beliar to retain NXT Women’s Championship
- Broserweights(Matt Riddle & Pete Dunne) defeated The Undisputed ERA(Kyle O’ Reilly & Bobby Fish) to become new NXT Tag Team Championship
- Adam Cole(c) defeated Tommaso Ciampa to retain NXT Championship
NXT TakeOver: Portland 2020 Results & Updates
The show is opening with a performance from Poppy and her band. They are performing the theme songs for the show, while we get the rushes of different NXT superstars on the big screen above them. Keith Lee makes his way to the ring as Mauro Ranallo welcomes us alongside Phillips McNiggles and Beth Pheonix. Dominic Dijakovic enters after him.
Keith Lee(c) vs Dominic Dijakovic – NXT North American Championship Match
They look up and Keith Lee is first to grab DD’s hand. DD gets him into a headlock. They run the ropes while dodging each other until Lee scoops DD. Dijakovic skips the move but Lee hits an incredible hurricanrana. They get into each other’s faces now. Lee gets DD in an arm twist and slams some open palm strikes on his chest. Dijakovic hits a kick to send Lee to the outside. He goes for the suicide dive but Lee catches him in between.
DD ends up slamming him on the apron and takes control. Back in the ring, Dijakovic kicks Lee and talks trash with some more punches. Some blows to the back and to the face. Dijakovic goes for the suplex when Lee takes back control with some punches. More strikes are followed by a backbreaker and a German suplex. Some back and forth strikes and Dijakovic hits the cyclone kick and a moonsault from the top for a near fall.
Dijakovic tries to pick Lee up but Lee is too heavy. More back and forth strikes. DD gets more strikes going which amps up Lee. But they eventually end up sitting down with each other’s support. A clothesline forces Lee to the apron. Dijakovic goes to slam him into the turnbuckle but Lee prevents the move. Both men end up going to the top and Dijakovic hits the Feast Your Eyes from the top. It’s a near fall only though.
Dijakovic whips Lee to the corner but Lee explodes out of there with a tackle. The action moves to the outside as Lee continues to pound on DD. He hits some double hand chops on DD. DD hits a few punches and a superkick. This sets up Lee on a chair and Dijakovic hits a moonsault on him. They get back in the ring where DD tries to go for the choke bomb. Lee scoops him but DD hits a few elbows. They both try to hit choke bombs but Lee ends up hitting the powerbomb for a near fall.
Both men are down as the crowd starts a ‘NXT’ chant. Dijakovic sends Lee to the outside. They both end up at the top. DD hits another Feast Your Eyes from the top but Lee kicks out once more. DD goes for the backbreaker but is unable to pick Lee up. Lee hits the brain fade catastrophe and gets the pin to retain the title.
Winner- Keith Lee(retains NXT North American Championship)
