The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammad Bin Salman specifically asked for Boxing Lineal World Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury to be included for Crown Jewel 2019 show.

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Tyson Fury is likely receiving significant money to make his WWE in-ring debut at Crown Jewel 2019. Meltzer added that the Crown Prince of the Kingdon of Saudi Arabia, Mohammad Bin Salman asked WWE to get Tyson Fury for Crown Jewel this year.

Also, due to Bin Salman’s request, WWE may be receiving extra money for bringing in Fury apart from their usual $20 million for the show. Crown Jewel 2019 takes place on 31 October at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

WWE is asked to bring some special athletes for the events in Saudi Arabia. They brought back Shawn Michaels, Kane and the Undertaker for Crown Jewel 2018 show. At Super ShowDown 2019, Goldberg and the Undertaker headlined the show. This year’s Crown Jewel will see the battle between two UFC World Heavyweight Champions in Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez, apart from the WWE debut of Tyson Fury.

Meltzer also quoted Triple H with whom he had a separate talk at the press conference in Las Vegas last Friday. According to Hunter, Fury approached WWE a few years back but a deal could not be struck between the parties. WWE then approached Fury recently for the Saudi Arabia match.

Tyson Fury’s deal with WWE is said to only for one match with Strowman. But that does not discount any further deal between the two parties. Fury is expected to fight Deontay Wilder in 2020 in a rematch from their December 2018 bout.
