The Fiend Bray Wyatt(c) vs Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman – Triple Threat Match for Universal Championship

The Fiend wins the Universal Championship and Roman Reigns gets on his tail immediately. A big change in regards to scenario is that both Roman and Strowman are now working as heel while The Fiend will be treated like a face character going forward.

Prediction- Is it too soon for The Fiend to lose the title? Is it too soon for Roman to win it as a heel? Yes on both counts. And the saying goes for wrestling – money is in the chase. I expect the heel Roman to chase The Fiend at least until next PPV. The Fiend to win with a pin over Strowman.

Apollo Crews(c) vs Bobby Lashley – WWE United States Championship

Hurt Business wants to be a force to reckon with. But they do not have anything significant to show for it. Shelton Benjamin’s 24/7 title thing cannot be considered serious on any count. Hence, they need a title desperately. MVP has failed in his attempt to defeat Apollo Crews for United States Championship. Now, it is Bobby Lashley’s turn to dethrone Crews.

Prediction – As said earlier, Hurt Business needs a title. So, I will not be surprised if Lashley wins here. Especially if WWE has something else in mind for Crews.

Bayley & Sasha Banks(c) vs Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match

The story here is that while Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax hate each other. They hate Sasha and Bayley even more. So, they are joining force to take on a common enemy. But if they end up winning the tag team championship, how will their dynamics work going forward?

On the other hand, there is a tease going on from eternity for a split between Sasha Banks and Bayley. WWE has probably been waiting for the audience to come back to the arena as that would be big moment. With some form fans already returned with Thunderdome, will we finally see one of the most awaited feud to kick start?

Prediction – Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax to win the titles with Bayley getting the pin. This will cause Sasha to turn on Bayley.

Seth Rollins & Murphy vs Dominik & Rey Mysterio

Seth Rollins vs Mysterio family feud is going for sometime now. Whether it is their multiple encounters in tag team matches, the “Eye for an Eye” match at Extreme Rules against Rey or the bout at SummerSlam against Dominik, Rollins has managed to get wins in almost every match. This match was setup after their last one was interrupted by Retribution this Monday at RAW.

Prediction – Dominik gets the pin on Murphy to win the match. Mysterios has got many Ls in their account and need a win here.

Keith Lee vs Randy Orton – Singles Match

It is evident from his short NXT Championship reign that Keith Lee has been fasttracked to the main roster. The fact that he is put against Randy Orton for his first feud shows that WWE have big things for him in mind. But will he be able to pull off an upset at Payback?

Orton is on a dominant run and his stature seems to be growing each week. It will take something special to beat the top heel of the brand for the second week and PPV in a row.

Prediction – Keith Lee to beat Orton with some help from Drew McIntyre.

Big E vs Sheamus

Big E is finally getting a singles match on a main roster PPV. Fans have been calling out for a singles run for the New Day Powerhouse for a long time now and WWE has finally listened. His opponent for Payback is going to be Sheamus- someone who is also expected to be on the upward trajectory. Big E won the previous match against the Celtic Warrior two weeks back. Will the result change at Payback?

Prediction – Big E wins this one.

Matt Riddle vs King Corbin

Another hot NXT prospects gets on the main roster in Matt Riddle and is going against the annoying heel in King Corbin. Corbin had never really went after Riddle himself but has sent out Shorty G for a bounty against Riddle. This will be their first match against each other.

Prediction – Matt Riddle for the win. No reason for him to lose here.
