WWE NXT has now officially announced that the show is moving to Tuesday nights on the USA Network. The first episode of NXT on Tuesday will be on 13 April 2021. NXT Takeover: Stand and Deliver night 1 will be the last NXT episode on Wednesday.

WWE and USA also announced a multi-year contract extension. With the Tuesday’s broadcast on USA, NXT will now air on Peacock and the WWE Network on Wednesday Nights.

The move is rumored ever since NBC Sports Network channel was shut down. With that move, NHL will be moved to USA on Wednesday night and hence, NXT was forced to move to some other night.

This will see the end of Wednesday Night War between AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT weekly show. Both show has went head to head for 76 weeks now with AEW Dynamite winning the ratings and viewerships in most of the weeks. You can check the complete AEW vs NXT Rating viewership here.

Triple H, the head of NXT, talked to Variety and mentioned that NXT’s move to USA on Wednesday was to keep it in line with the broadcast timings at WWE Network.

He also added, “We now feel like we’re in a good place where we can move that consistent fanbase over to Tuesdays. We believe they’ll follow us. That way we can grow the brand more given the lead-in from ‘Monday Night Raw,’ which we’ve seen in the past.”
