Lashley vs McIntyre WWE Championship Match Set for WrestleMania 37

WWE has announced Bobby Lashley vs Drew McIntyre match for WrestleMania 37 for the WWE Championship. The announcement was made on this week’s RAW.

Earlier, Bobby Lashley attacked Drew McIntyre after he had successfully retained the WWE Championship at the Elimination Chamber. This gave the Miz a chance to cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase to win the WWE title from McIntyre.

Later, Bobby Lashley got the title shot in lieu of his help for Miz. Lashley defeated The Miz to win the WWE Championship for the first time. Lashley then retained the championship against Miz in their match last week.

This week’s RAW opened with the announcement for the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 37. This is the third match announced for the Grandest Stage of Them All this year. Later, Drew McIntyre mentioned that this will likely be the main event on either night of Wrestlemania.

McIntyre also revealed that he will face Sheamus in a singles match at Fastlane this Sunday. This week, Lashley defeated Sheamus in a singles match. McIntyre was at the ringside to watch that match and took out Lashley with a Claymore kick post-match. Earlier, McIntyre also defeated the Miz in a singles match.

WrestleMania 37 takes place on 10 & 11 April 2021 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fl. This will be WWE’s first event with the crowd at the stadium since Elimination Chamber 2020 show. The ticket sales for the show were supposed to start from tomorrow, but it is postponed for now till next week.
