Lana Post Injury Update, Report Refutes Claims

Lana Signs New Five Years WWE Deal

WWE Star Lana recently tweeted a link to a photoshoot that she shot for Bello Magazine back in November before her injury. She added a caption saying she is still wearing a cast and an ankle brace for the injuries.

This was the second update from Lana since she injury was revealed last month on RAW. Earlier, Lana wished fans a Happy New Year along with two pictures of her wearing braces on her arm and leg.

Those updates are reportedly a work from Lana and WWE. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter mentioned that Lana’s injuries were not legitimate, and were part of the storyline.

Lana and Asuka were in line for WWE Women’s Tag Team title shot against Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler at WWE TLC 2020 PPV. However, Lana was pulled out of the match as she was attacked by Baszler and Jax on RAW 14 December 2020 episode after her win over Nia Jax

The commentary team announced that Lana suffered an MCL injury to her left knee and a non-displaced radial head fracture on her left elbow. Charlotte Flair ended up replacing her at TLC and won the Women’s Tag Team Championship with Asuka.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Lana may have a good shot at being a surprise entrant in Sunday’s 30-Woman Royal Rumble Match. The report added that when WWE originally wrote her out of the storylines in December, the idea was to keep her off TV for around 6 weeks with the worked injury.
