Elimination Chamber 2019: Buddy Murphy retains Cruiserweight title

Buddy Murphy has retained the WWE Cruiserweight Championship title against Akira Tozawa in the kick-off show match at Elimination Chamber 2019 event.

These two stars again put up an excellent performance with great maneuvers and counters. In the end, however, as Tozawa locked him in an octopus submission, Murphy countered it with Murphy’s Law to get the pin and the win.

Initially, from NXT, Murphy moved to 205 Live(Cruiserweight Division of WWE) after losing a significant amount of weight. After winning the title at Super Show-Down in his home country Australia, Murphy has been unstoppable and have beaten Mustafa Ali, Kalisto, Hideo Itami, Cedric Alexander and Akira Tozawa since then. It will be interesting to see who will be challenging him next.
