Becky Lynch, Edge & Orton Returning on RAW Next Week
WWE has announced the return of Edge, Randy Orton and WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch on next week’s episode of RAW(11 May 2020).
Becky Lynch last appeared on RAW episode of 13 April, where she expressed that she will be waiting for Women’s Money in the Bank winner to challenge her. The said match will be taking place on Money in the Bank 2020 PPV this Sunday. Now, WWE has announced The Man’s return for next week’s episode, adding that she will address the Women’s MITB winner.
Becky has recently been in news after appearing in the season premiere of drama series “Billions.” She is also rumored to have grabbed a role in Marvel Cinematic Universe but that news is not confirmed yet.
Randy Orton and Edge are likely to continue their rivalry as per WWE’s announcement. Edge made his return to WWE after 8 years at Royal Rumble this year. But the storyline started when Orton turned on Edge on RAW after Royal Rumble episode, leading to their match at WrestleMania. Both men are not seen in WWE ever since WrestleMania.
It looks like Edge was supposed to be kept away from WWE for a longer period. However, with a rapid decline in rating for RAW, the company is bringing him back early to add some much required star power.
WWE has been airing the taped versions of its shows ever since the COVID-19 pandemic struck, baring the 13 April RAW episode which was aired live. Next week’s RAW will be taped earlier on the same day along with the taping of WWE SmackDown episode of 15 May.
