Both AEW Dynamite & NXT See Drop in Rating in 2nd Week

Both the prime time wrestling shows on Wednesday, AEW Dynamite and WWE’s NXT have seen a drop in TV rating in the second week in the United States.

ShowbuzzDaily is reporting that AEW Dynamite was viewed by 1.018 million on TNT with 122,000 users coming through TruTV simulcast. On the other hand, WWE NXT was viewed by 790,000 on the USA Network. Both shows experienced a drop from last week, with AEW dropping around 200,000 viewers from 1.409 million. And NXT dropped around 100,000 viewers from 891,000.

Coming to demographic rankings, AEW Dynamite was again leading with a significant number. Dynamite gained 0.66 ratings among males in 18-49 years segment and 0.29 in the women’s 18-49. On the other hand, NXT gained only 0.29 among the males of the same demographics and only 0.11 with the 18-49 women.

This is the second week in a row that AEW Dynamite has been ahead on the viewers and ratings from NXT. The viewers’ difference is however down with 350,000 from last week’s near 500,000.

This week’s AEW Dynamite featured the start of the AEW World Tag Team Championship tournament and a No #1 contender’s match for AEW World Championship, Jon Moxley’s first Dynamite match among other things. NXT also featured a match between WWE UK Champion WALTER and Kushida along with WWE Cruiserweight Championship where Lio Rush became the new champion defeating Drew Gulak.
