Erick Rowan Not Signed With AEW For Now!

The rumors regarding Erick Rowan signing with AEW has been laid to rest in a recent report.

Erick Rowan Brodie Lee Tribute

Erick Redbeard, former WWE Star Erick Rowan, has appeared on AEW Dynamite: Brodie Lee Celebration of Life edition. The show featured a special tribute to Brodie Lee who passed last week after a battle with lung issues.

Rowan was a long time partner for Brodie Lee(or as known as Luke Harper in WWE) in Wyatt Family and Bludgeon Brothers tag teams. Rowan and Harper had won the WWE and SmackDown Tag Team Titles.

Rowan appeared on AEW Dynamite’s main event match that saw Jon Silver, Alex Reynolds and Hangman Page defeat members of The Inner Circle. Rowan came out to take on Wardlow and brawled with him. In the post-match segment, a visibly emotional Rowan held up a sign that said, “Goodbye for now, my brother. See you down the road.”

After his appearance on Dynamite, some fans started speculating if AEW has signed Rowan. Wrestling Observer Newsletter quashed those rumors in their latest report. They reported that Rowan has not signed with AEW and his deal was just to make the special cameo appearance for a tribute to Brodie Lee.

WON also noted that things can obviously change in the future, but right now Rowan is not part of the AEW roster.

Rowan has been out of contract after being released by WWE back in April 2020. He has made only a handful of indie appearances since then.
