AEW vs NXT Ratings- 13 January 2021- NXT At Second Lowest

NXT was a big loser in this week’s TV Ratings while AEW Dynamite bounced back from poor ratings from the earlier week.

The 13 January 2021 episode of AEW Dynamite defeated WWE NXT by a margin of over 211,000 viewers as they continued their dominance in Wrestling’s Wednesday Night War.

New Year’s Smash Night 2 edition of AEW Dynamite drew 762,000 viewers and was 15% up from last week. On the other hand, WWE NXT suffered a drop of 14% from last week, ending up at 551,000 viewers.

AEW ranked #31 in the Cable Top 150 for the 18-49 demo and at #68 in total viewership. NXT was ranked at #70 in the demo and at #81 in overall viewership.

Last week’s Dynamite New Year’s Smash Night 1 show drew 662,000 viewers and ranked #48 in the Cable Top 150, and #75 in viewership. Last week’s NXT New Year’s Evil show drew 641,000 viewers and ranked #68 in the Cable Top 150, and #80 in viewership.

AEW drew a 0.30 rating (+20% from last week) in the 18-49 demographic while NXT drew a 0.14 (-12.5%) in the same demo this week. Last week’s AEW show drew a 0.25 rating while the NXT episode drew a 0.16 in that demographic.

This was AEW Dynamite’s second-lowest viewership and demo rating since Thanksgiving week in November. This week’s Dynamite viewership was down 19% when compared to the same week in 2020.
