A bout between Yohan Lainesse and Sam Patterson is reported for UFC 297 PPV event.

Knockout Alerts has reported that Lainesse and Patterson are scheduled to face each other in a welterweight division matchup at the inaugural UFC PPV event of 2024.

Yohan Lainesse’s most recent fight was canceled at the UFC 291 event, where he was originally slated to face Matthew Semelsberger. The cancellation occurred when Lainesse withdrew from the bout.

Lainesse has participated in three UFC fights, winning one and losing two. Prior to the canceled fight, he suffered a defeat at the hands of Mike Malott at the UFC Vegas 70 event, succumbing to a submission.

Sam Patterson’s most recent fight was canceled at the UFC on ESPN+ 84 event, where he was originally scheduled to face Nasrat Haqparast. The bout was called off because Patterson withdrew from the fight.

Before the cancellation, Patterson had suffered a defeat at the hands of Yanal Ashmouz, marking the end of his impressive nine-fight winning streak.

UFC 297 PPV event is set to take place on January 20, 2023, and it will be broadcast live from Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. A bantamweight bout is also set for the event, where Serhiy Sidey will face Ramon Taveras.
