UFC will be returning to Madison Square Garden in New York with UFC 281 PPV in November this year.

Headlined by Israel Adesanya vs Alex Periera, UFC 281 PPV will take place on November 12, 2022. With this event, UFC will continue the tradition of holding a PPV at Madison Square Garden in November month.

The event will start at 6 PM ET with early prelims on November 12, 2022, followed by prelims from 8 PM ET and main card from 10 PM ET onwards. Some tickets are still available for the event. Interested fans can buy the tickets from this link.

UFCโ€™s MSG PPV Tradition

New York State Athletic Commission authorized MMA in 2016. Starting from that year, UFC has held a PPV event at Madison Square Garden every year in November, barring 2020 due to pandemic. The MSG PPV can be considered UFCโ€™s second biggest PPV of the year after its International Fight Week PPV which usually takes place in July.

UFC 205 in 2016, UFC 217 in 2017, UFC 230 in 2018, UFC 244 in 2019, and UFC 268 in 2021 are the PPV events that UFC has held at MSG previously.

Two long-time foes will collide in the main event of UFC 281. Israel Adesanya will defend his UFC Middleweight Championship against Alex Periera. Periera holds the distinction of knockout Adesayna in two Kickboxing bouts, something no one has been able to do to Adesayna in MMA.

Apart from this, Carla Esparza will make her first defense of the Strawweight Championship in her second reign against Zhang Weili. Dustin Poirier vs Michael Chandler bout is another explosive bout on the main card apart from the names like Frankie Edgar, Dan Hooker Dominik Reyes and Renato Moicano among others.
