UFC Shanghai Officially Announced, Road to UFC Season 2 Finals Also Set
UFC has officially announced the return to Shanghai, China on December 9, 2023, along with the announcement of Road to UFC Season 2 Finals matches for the event.
UFC Fight Night Shanghai will showcase four final bouts for Season 2 of Road to UFC on the prelims card. These four bouts will represent four different division categories: flyweight, bantamweight, featherweight, and lightweight. The winners of the tournament will earn UFC contracts.

Rei Tsuruya is set to go up against Ji Niushiyue in the flyweight bout, Xiao Long will square off against Lee Chang-ho in the bantamweight bout, Yi Zha will compete against Li Kai Wen in the featherweight bout, and Rong Zhu will face Shin Haraguchi in the lightweight bout.
Rei Tsuruya is on an impressive nine-fight winning streak and has yet to experience a single loss in his career. In his most recent bout, which took place at Road to UFC, he emerged victorious by defeating Mark Climaco. Ji Niushiyue is presently on a seven-fight winning streak. In his most recent fight at Road to UFC event, he secured a unanimous decision victory over Seung Guk Choi.
Xiao Long is currently on a four-fight winning streak. In his most recent fight at Road to UFC event, he emerged victorious by majority decision against Shuya Kamikubo. Xiao Long’s MMA record stands at an impressive 26 wins and 7 losses. Lee Chang-ho is presently on a three-fight winning streak. In his most recent fight at Road to UFC event, he secured a victory by knockout against Daermisi Zhawupasi.
Yi Zha is currently on a two-fight winning streak. In his most recent bout at Road to UFC event, he emerged victorious by unanimous decision against Sang Won Kim.
