UFC Abu Dhabi Fight Night August 03, 2024

UFC Abu Dhabi Fight Night event is set to take place on August 3, 2024. The event will take place at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, UAE. It will see a bantamweight bout in the headliner between Cory Sandhagen and Umar Nurmagomedov. The event is also known as UFC on ABC 7.

The event is slated to start at 12 PM ET with the prelims card which will air on ESPN 2 TV Channel and ESPN+ streaming in United States. The main card will start at 3 PM ET and will air on ABC TV Channel and ESPN+ streaming.

NOTES

UFC announced on March 6, 2024, that the promotion would return to Abu Dhabi, UAE, for a Fight Night event on August 3, 2024. This would be UFC’s 19th event in UAE.

In May 6, 2024, the main event was announced to be a bantamweight bout between Cory Sandhagen and Umar Nurmagomedov. The duo were earlier booked to headline UFC Nashville 2023 Fight Night, but Nurmagomedov had to withdraw due to a shoulder injury.

On May 29, 2024, UFC President Dana White revealed the complete main card of the Fight Night including the return of Nick Diaz in the co-main event bout against Vincente Luque in a welterweight bout.

Tony Ferguson and Michael Chiesa were supposed to headline a Fight Night event in July 2016 in a lightweight bout, but Chiesa had to pull out due to a back injury. The duo were rebooked for a clash at this event in a welterweight bout.

Javid Basharat vs Chris Gutierrez bantamweight bout was reported for this event. Later, the bout was postponed by one week to take place on August 10, 2024.
