UFC 308 PPV event took place on October 26, 2024, at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The event featured UFC Featherweight Championship bout between Ilja Topuria and Max Holloway in the main event. NOTES

UFC has been holding at least one numbered/PPV event since 2019 in Abu Dhabi as per their partnership with UAE government. UFC 308 is also an event under the same partnership.

UFC Featherweight Champion Ilja Topuria would defend his title against Max Holloway in the main event of this show. Diego Lopes was the backup fighter for this main event bout.

Khamzat Chimaev and Robert Whittaker were slated to headline UFC Saudi Arabia Fight Night in June 2024. However, Chimaev was hospitalized due to illness and had to pull out of the bout. The match was then rebooked as a 5-round co-main event for this event.

Heavyweight Fighters Ciryl Gane and Alexander Volkov would clash in a rematch at the event. They earlier clashed to headline Fight Night in June 2021 where Gane beat Volkov via unanimous decision. The bout was later moved to UFC 310 as Volkov was dealing with a knee injury and needed more time to recover.

Marcos Rogério de Lima and Kennedy Nzechukwu were set for a heavyweight bout for this event. Later, de Lima withdrew from the fight for unknown reasons. Justin Tafa came in as replacement to face Nzechukwu. Tafa also pulled out of the bout with unknown reasons. Chris Barnett made his return from injury after two years to face Nzechukwu.

Rinat Fakhretdinov and Nursulton Ruziboev were booked for a welterweight contest. Ruziboev had to withdraw from the fight due to an injury. Carlos Leal came in as a replacement to make his debut at the event.

Said Nurmagomedov was set to face Daniel Santos in a bantamweight bout. But, Santos pulled out of the bout due to unknown reasons just one week before the event. The bout was then cancelled.

A lightweight bout was set between Mateusz Rabecki and Myktybek Orolbai. But, the bout was changed to a 160-pound catchweight limit on the day of weigh-in.

Farid Basharat and Victor Hugo were booked for a bantamweight bout. But, it was changed to a featherweight bout after Hugo weighed in at 145.5 pounds, 9.5 pounds over the bantamweight fight limit.
