UFC was reportedly targetting Leon Edwards vs Colby Covington’s fight for UFC Welterweight Championship at UFC 291 in London. However, Edwards has stated that he would like his next fight to take place in Abu Dhabi at this event.

Khamzat Chimaev revealed on his Youtube channel that UFC was targeting his bout against Kamaru Usman for this event.
