Mateus Mendonca vs Javid Basharat Set for UFC Vegas 67
A clash between two undefeated bantamweights is set for UFC’s first event of 2023.
Mateus Mendonca will make his UFC debut against Javid Basharat at UFC Vegas 67 on January 14, 2023, in Las Vegas.
AgFight was the first one to report this matchup which was later confirmed by Marcel Dorff of Eurosports as well.
Mateus Mendonca has been undefeated in all his ten fights so far. He earned his UFC contract by defeating Ashiek Ajim via first-round KO at the Dana White Contender Series.
On the other hand, Javid Basharat also made his way to the UFC through Dana White’s Contender Series. He then won his UFC debut against Trevin Jones and then defeated Tony Gravely in his second UFC bout.
Now, it remains to be seen whether Mateus Mendonca will be able to impress in his inaugural UFC match or will Javid Basharat continue his undefeated run at UFC Vegas 67.
