JP Buys Replaces Gastón Bolaños vs Marcus McGhee at UFC Vegas 78
There is a slight change in one of the bantamweight bouts at UFC Vegas 78 event as JP Buys is set to replace one of the fighters.
According to the report of Carlos Legaspi of ESPN Deportes, Gaston Bolanos is out of the scheduled bout against Marcus McGhee at UFC event on August 12, 2023. JP Buys will replace Bolanos in the bout.

JP Buys also mentioned in his tweet that he had signed for a new bout and an announcement is coming soon. The reason for Bolanos’ withdrawal is yet to be revealed.

Gaston Bolanos had his UFC debut on April 15, 2023, against Aaron Phillips at a Fight Night event, where he won via unanimous decision. Bolanos’ MMA record currently stands at 7-3-0.
Marcus McGhee had his UFC debut on April 29, 2023, against Journey Newson at UFC Fight Night event, where he won the match by submission. McGhee has also fought only one match in his UFC career. McGhee’s MMA record stands at 7-1-0.
A graduate of Dana White Contender Series 2020, JP Buys is currently on three consecutive losses in his UFC career so far. He debuted in 2021 with a loss against Bruno Silva in March 2021. He lost to Montel Jackson later that year before losing to Cody Durden in May 2022. He has been out of action since then.
UFC Vegas 78 event is scheduled for August 12, 2023, at UFC Apex Arena in Las Vegas, NV, US, featuring the main event between Vicente Luque and Rafael dos Anjos.
