Jesus Aguilar vs Mateus Mendonca UFC Mexico City

Another pairing of a Mexican Fighter vs Chute Boxe DL fighter is set for UFC Mexico City Fight Night event.

Mexico’s Jesus Aguilar is reported to clash with Chute Boxe’s Mateus Mendonca at the event on February 24, 2024. The flyweight bout was reported by ESPN Deportes’ Carlos Legaspi. Both men came to UFC via Dana White Contender Series 2022.

Edgar Cháirez(Mexico) vs Daniel Lacerda(Chute Boxe) and Victor Altamirano(Mexico) vs Felipe dos Santos(Chute Boxe) are the other two bouts which are previously reported for this event.

Jesus Aguilar lost to Tatsuro Taira in his UFC debut at UFC Vegas 68 early in 2023. He bounced back from this loss in a spectacular fashion at UFC 290. Aguilar was able to knock out Shannon Ross in merely 17 seconds, which is one of the quickest knockouts in UFC history.

Mateus Mendonca, on the other hand, has lost both his UFC bouts so far. He entered UFC with 10-0 unbeaten record in MMA, but suffered a loss to Javid Basharat at UFC Vegas 67 in his promotional debut. He also lost to Nate Maness at UFC Vegas 80 event in October.

UFC Mexico City Fight Night is set to take place at Mexico City Arena in Mexico City, Mexico. Brandon Moreno vs Amir Albazi bout is set to headline the show while Yair Rodriguez vs Brian Ortega bout will be the co-main event.
