Another UFC debut is set for this year at Jaqueline Amorim will face Sam Hughes at UFC 287 PPV.

The report comes from MMA Island’s Mani Mayer, reporting that the strawweight bout is set for April 8, 2023, in Miami, FL.

Jaqueline Amorim has been active in LFA for the past two years. She remains undefeated currently with a 6-0 record overall with all six wins coming via first-round submission. She also has a 4-0 record in LFA.

In 2022, Amorim took part in two fights under the LFA banner. She first defeated Loveth Young to win the vacant LFA Women’s Strawweight title at LFA 125. She defeated Ashley Nichols via armbar at LFA 142 to retain the title.

Sam Hughes, another former LFA participant, holds a poor 2-4 record under UFC. After losing her first 3 bouts in UFC since her debut in December 2020, Hughes got two back-to-back wins over Istela Nunes and Elise Reed in April and May 2022. In her last bout in October 2022, she lost to Piera Rodriguez.

UFC 287 is set to be headlined by a rematch between Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya for the Middleweight title. The co-main event will see Gilbert Burns facing Jorge Masvidal.
