Islam Makhachev Reveals Tony Ferguson Didn’t Answer UFC 267 Bout Offer

Islam Makhachev who is all set to square off against Dan Hooker at UFC 267 recently revealed that Tony Ferguson didn’t even respond to the fight offer for the same event. 

At Wednesday’s media event of UFC 267, Makhachev when Rafael dos Anjos withdrew from the bout, the promotion gave him two options as his replacement. These options were Dan Hooker and Tony Ferguson. 

Later the promotion told him that Ferguson didn’t even answer and Hooker is ready. So, Makhachev moved forward with a match with Dan Hooker. 

This past July, Islam Makhachev even called out Tony Ferguson for a match. However, Ferguson is on a three-fight losing streak. Hence, Makhachev is not that much interested in fighting him now. 

However, Makhachev stated that Tony isn’t finished yet. At present, Makhachev is on an eight-fight winning streak. He is in the footprints of his close friend Khabib Nurmagomedov. 

Makachev finished his last two opponents and he is looking forward to doing the same with Dan Hooker as well this Saturday at UFC 267.
