A new welterweight bout is scheduled for the match card of the UFC Sao Paulo event in November.
According to the latest reports, the undefeated Gabriel Bonfim is set to collide against the former CWFC Welterweight Champion Nicolas Dalby at UFC Sao Paulo on November 4, 2023.
Marcel Dorff of EuroSports was the first one to report this matchup via his Twitter handle. You can check out his tweet below.
Gabriel Bonfim made his way to UFC by defeating Trey Water at Dana White’s Contender Series in September 2022. He made his UFC debut in January 2023 against Mounir Lazzez and defeated him via first-round submission at UFC 283. He had his last fight at UFC 291 where he beat Trevin Giles via first-round submission.
On the other hand, Nicolas Dalby is on a three-fight winning streak. He is coming off a unanimous decision win against Muslim Salikhov in June 2023. Before that, he managed to defeat Warlley Alves via a split decision at UFC 283.
Bonfim’s last three wins came via first-round submissions whereas Dalby won his last three matches via decision. Now, Gabriel Bonfim will be looking forward to delivering another dominant performance when he meets Dalby in Sao Paulo whereas the latter will try his best to extend his winning streak.
The UFC Sao Paulo event is set to be headlined by a heavyweight bout between Curtis Blaydes and Jailton Almeida.
