Felipe Bunes Debut Bout vs Zhalgas Zhumagulov Set for UFC Vegas 75
A new flyweight bout has been added to the match card of the UFC Vegas 75 event in June.
According to the latest reports, LFA flyweight champion Felipe Bunes has signed with UFC and now he is set to have his inaugural UFC match against Zhalgas Zhumagulov at the UFC Fight Night event on June 17, 2023.
Marcel Dorff of EuroSports was the first one to report this match by sharing a tweet. It was then confirmed by multiple other sources as well.
The career of Zhalgas Zhumagulov has been moving southwards for the past few years. He is 1-5 in his last six bouts and is currently on a three-fight losing streak. Zhalgas is coming off a split-decision loss against Charles Johnson in November 2022. His last win came against Jerome Rivera at UFC 264 back in July 2021.
On the other hand, Felipe Bunes is LFA flyweight and he is coming off a first-round TKO win against Yuma Horiuchi. However, he is yet to face any UFC fighters.
Now it will be interesting to see whether Felipe Bunes wins his first UFC bout or will Zhalgas Zhumagulov finally snap his losing streak at UFC Vegas 75 on June 17.
