Waldo Cortes Acosta will not rest in 2022. After two bouts in LFA, an appearance in Dana White Contender Series and his UFC debut this year, he will now face Chase Sherman with just three weeks of recovery time.

According to the latest reports, Chase Sherman vs Waldo Cortes Acosta has been made official for the UFC Vegas 65 event on November 19, 2022. UFC official broadcast partner ESPN Deportes’ Carlos Contreras Legaspi reported this match.

Chase Sherman snapped a four-fight losing streak in his most recent match against Jared Vanderaa earlier this year in July. Before that, he lost against Alexander Romanov, Jake Collier, Parker Porter, and Andrei Arlovski.

Sherman was supposed to be part of UFC Vegas 64 last week, but his opponent Josh Parisian had to pull out of the bout due to medical reasons.

On the other hand, Waldo Cortes Acosta also defeated Jared Vanderaa in his inaugural UFC match just one week back. This came after he defeated Derrick Weaver and Thomas Petersen in LFA this year.

Acosta then defeated Danilo Suzart at Dana White Contender Series appearance in August. Counting his appearance at Bellator 271 in November last year, Acosta would have made 6 appearances in the past 12 months in octagon.

Now, it remains to be seen whether Waldo Cortes Acosta can recover quickly for another bout or will Chase Sherman breaks his momentum by winning the second consecutive match at UFC Vegas 65 on November 19.
