Aliaskhab Khizriev Out of UFC Vegas 79 Fight vs Jacob Malkoun
Aliaskhab Khizriev will not be competing in his scheduled bout against Jacob Malkoun, which was originally planned for September at UFC Vegas 79 event.
Jacob Malkoun announced via an Instagram post that his opponent, Khizriev, has pulled out of their fight. However, the specific reason for Khizriev’s withdrawal has not been disclosed.
Malkoun and Khizriev were booked in a middleweight bout at UFC Vegas 79 event. It’s unclear whether Jacob Malkoun will be removed from the event or if a replacement opponent will be organized for his scheduled match.
Aliaskhab Khizriev is currently on a 14-fight winning streak. Signed through Dana White Contender Series 2020, Khizriev has fought only one match in UFC since. Khizriev defeated Denis Tiuliulin by submission at UFC Columbus in March 2022. Between this time, 4 of his bouts were canceled(only once due to his withdrawal).
Jacob Malkoun has won three fights and lost two in his five bouts in UFC. Malkoun’s recent bout was against Nick Maximov at UFC Fight Night event in October 2022, where he won by unanimous decision.
UFC Vegas 79 is scheduled for September 23 at UFC Apex Center in Las Vegas, NV, featuring a lightweight bout between Rafael Fiziev and Mateusz Gamrot.
