Joy Joyce takes on Christian Hammer in a heavyweight bout to headline Queensberry Promotions’ card on BT Sports from Wembley’s OVO Arena in London, UK, on July 2, 2022.
Joyce was supposed to take on Joseph Parker earlier, but Parker pulled out of the bout due to his trainer being unavailable. Joyce will be defending WBC’s Silver & WBO’s International heavyweight titles. Joyce returns to action a year after defeating Carlos Takem in July 2021. Hammer has been in action twice this year already. He has lost to Frank Sanchez on Fox’s New Year’s Day PPV, before later defeating Drazen Zanjanin in May.
Jason Cunningham will also defend the Commonwealth and IBF International super bantamweight title against Zolani Tete while Callum Johnson will return to action against Igo Mikhalkin to defend his WBO Global light heavyweight title. The event will air on BT Sports 1 in UK from 2 PM ET onwards.
