Check out the preview and matches announced for WWE Monday Night RAW episode of 25 May 2020(5/25/2020).

Drew McIntyre on VIP Lounge

Bobby Lashley has been fast-tracked onto becoming the next big contender for Drew McIntyre’s WWE Championship. And one of the important factors in this storyline is MVP. The veteran has tried to put his shadow over many superstars on the RAW roster, starting with Drew McIntyre himself. His search finally ended with Lashley.

After being alongside Lashley when he challenged McIntyre last week, MVP will now host the WWE Champion on his talk show segment. WWE is selling the segment as an attempt from Lashley to attack McIntyre and it might well turn out to be the case. McIntyre has been very dominant ever since his win at Royal Rumble. So, it will be interesting to see if WWE continues to book him in the same manner against an equally powerful Lashley.

Andrade(c) vs Apollo Crews – WWE United States Championship Match

After just 3 weeks on the sidelines due to an injury(kayfabe), Apollo Crews made a triumphant return teaming up with Kevin Owens against Andrade and Angel Garza. And once that was done and dusted, he quickly moved on towards his real goal- WWE United States Championship. His challenge was accepted promptly and the match is fixed for this week.

Andrade is completing 5 months as the champion now. So, it is a good time for the title to change hands. But will WWE indeed put the title on Crews? And if yes, will Kevin Owens have to make an assist just like he did to The Street Profits in their RAW Tag Team Championship win? And what about the rumored heel turn for Crews?

Charlotte Flair vs Natalya vs Nia Jax – #1 Contender Match

Another match with the championship implications is announced for the night as Charlotte Flair, Natalya and Nia Jax face-off in the #1 contenders match. The winner will get the match against Asuka for WWE RAW Women’s Championship at Backlash 2020.

However, booking raises some questions. Even if we let pass Charlotte Flair’s entry into the title picture, why is Natalya getting the #1 contender’s match when she has been losing to Shayna Baszler continuously? Maybe because WWE does not want either of Nia Jax or Flair to take the pin. But if that is the case, Baszler should have been added to the match to make it a fatal 4-way. Nia Jax is the expected winner here though.

What More To Expect?

  • Another Sports/Activity for the Street Profits and The Viking Raiders to compete in.
  • Seth Rollins’ crusade to continue
  • Where is Bianca Beliar, Jinder Mahal and other squash masters?
