Andrade vs Carrillo Confirmed for Royal Rumble 2020

WWE has confirmed that Andrade will defend his WWE United States Championship at Royal Rumble 2020 against Humberto Carrillo.

After winning the title at a WWE Live event at MSG, New York, Andrade has successfully defended it against Rey Mysterio on two occasions. His last defense came this week on RAW where he won the Ladder match.

As Andrade looked to continue with his attack after the match, Humberto Carrillo came out to make the save on Mysterio. Later in a backstage interview, Humberto Carrillo puts out a challenge for Andrade to put his United States Championship on the line at Royal Rumble 2020 PPV.

WWE has confirmed that Andrade has accepted the challenge and the match is official for Royal Rumble.

Humberto Carrillo made his RAW debut back in October against then WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins. He was put in the United States title picture after this as he started a feud with AJ Styles. But Carrillo was unable to win the title from Styles on multiple occasions.

With the crowd not getting behind him as much, Carrillo was kept off TV in recent weeks. He returned to WWE RAW this week donning Rey Mysterio’s mask before revealing himself and making the save on Mysterio.
