WWE has announced that 1 January 2020 episode of NXT will not be live but a pre-taped show with the Year-End awards special.

This week, Cathy Kelley, Pat McAfee and Sam Roberts hosted NXT from the WWE Studio in Stamford. A total of 5 matches were aired that were pre-taped during the last few weeks at Full Sail Live in Winter Park, FL and Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

During the show, the panel also confirmed that they will be returning for next week’s NXT episode. The episode will the NXT Year-End Award 2019 special while three top matches from NXT history will also be aired on the USA Network. As per the announcement, these matches will be airing for the first time on television.

This will be the fourth time that NXT will be holding the year-end awards since the start in 2016. The voting lines are open till midnight on 28 December 2019. You can find the voting link, categories and nominations for the awards here.

On the other hand, AEW Dynamite will be bringing a new live episode on 1 January. Dubbed as the homecoming episode, the show will air from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida. A 6-man tag team match and a segment between Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley is announced for the show.
