Kenny Omega to Defend AAA Mega Championship at AEW Dark
All Elite Wrestling announced that Kenny Omega will defend his AAA Mega Championship against Jack Evans at AEW Dark episode of next week on 26 November 2019.
Kenny Omega won the AAA Mega Championship from fellow AEW star Rey Fenix at AAA Heroes Inmortales on 19 October 2019. The match against Evans will be his first title defense, taking place one month after his win. The match will be taped tonight before AEW Dynamite at Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis, IN and will air on 26 November.
AAA Mega Championship will be the second AAA title to be defended under AEW’s banner. Earlier, The Young Bucks and Lucha Brothers worked two matches for AAA Tag Team Championship at AEW Double or Nothing and AEW All Out.
Kenny Omega will be returning to action after been kept out of action last week. Omega faced Jon Moxley in an unsanctioned match at AEW Full Gear and came out on the losing side. He was not cleared for action last week after that brutal match.
Jack Evans was announced to face Joey Janela three weeks back on AEW Dynamite. However, that match was changed later and Omega instead faced Joey Janela. Evans was then pushed to another match on AEW Dark against Darby Allin and Jimmy Havoc.
