Adam Cole To Defend NXT Title at Survivor Series 2019
NXT Champion Adam Cole will defend his title at Survivor Series 2019. And his challenger will be determined at NXT TakeOver WarGames 2019.
Pete Dunne, Damien Priest, and Killian Dain have been feuding in the last few weeks. The feud started when Killian Dain tried to interrupt Pete Dunne while his entrance on NXT last month. Dain then interfered in Dunne’s match later, which led to his loss.
Last week, Dunne and Dain were booked for a match at NXT last week. But Dain attacked Dunne before the match and Priest also got involved in the resulting brawl. NXT announced that they would face-off in a triple threat match at NXT this week. However, a few hours later, NXT changed the plan and announced that the trio will now battle at NXT TakeOver: WarGames 2019.
Additionally, the match is announced to be a number #1 contender match for the NXT Championship. The winner of the match will then face Adam Cole at Survivor Series. This would mean that all the three top Championships from three top brands will be defended at Survivor Series now.
NXT TakeOver: WarGames 2019 will take place at Allstate Arena in Chicago on 23 November 2019. Below is the confirmed match card for the show:
