Adam Cole defeated Daniel Bryan in an NXT Championship match at Friday Night SmackDown episode of 1 November 2019.

Several NXT Athletes, NXT Director Triple H and NXT Coach Shawn Michaels invaded the SmackDown episode this week. The invasion was planned after most of the blue brand roster were stuck in Saudi Arabia due to some travel issues. During one segment in the second hour of SmackDown, Daniel Bryan was confronted by Triple H and Daniel Bryan.

Bryan and Triple H had a tense moment and teased a match between them. In the background, Shawn Michaels started pulling off his jacket in another hilarious tease. However, Triple H then told Bryan that Adam Cole is keen on having a match against him. Bryan then added that he wanted the NXT title on the line and Triple H made the match official.

Technically superb Daniel Bryan taking on the NXT champion Adam Cole was one hell of a match. Bryan seemed to have won the match when he put Cole in the Labell lock. But Cole reached the ropes. A back-and-forth sequence was followed by some Yes kicks from Bryan for a nearfall. Cole hit a superkick when Bryan was going for the running knee. The NXT champ then hit the Panama Sunrise and the last shot to get a famous win.

NXT invasion of SmackDown has now started the build for Survivor Series 2019 which is going to be the three brands warfare between RAW, SmackDown and NXT.
