Cody’s Promo & Omega’s Match Announced for Dynamite Tonight
Cody Rhodes will address Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle on tonight’s AEW Dynamite episode(23 October 2019). Also, Kenny Omega is added to tonight’s card to face Joey Janela. English Wrestler Jamie Hayter is announced as the opponent for Britt Baker.
The storyline between Cody and Chris Jericho started after Cody was announced as the opponent for Chris Jericho at AEW Full Gear 2019 PPV. At the debut episode of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho attacked Cody after Cody had just finished the first match of the show.
Since then, Cody’s ‘Elites’ and Jericho’s ‘Inner Circle’ are at loggerheads. This has resulted in match interruptions and multiple brawls between the two parties. Cody is likely to open the show tonight with his promo as AEW might finally start their push for AEW Full Gear.
Kenny Omega and Joey Janela faced off at the AEW Dark episode of 15 October. The match where Kenny Omega got just his second win in singles matches under AEW’s banner, got rave reviews. This has now forced AEW to book a rematch between them. This is a last-minute change as Janela was earlier announced to face Jack Evans. This would have been the first singles match at AEW Dynamite for both Janela and Evans.
Britt Baker will be featuring in his hometown in Pittsburgh. And she will be facing English Wrestler Jamie Hayter, who will make her AEW debut with this match. The match was announced at the AEW Dark episode last night.
