WWE Crown Jewel 2019- Predictions and Preview
Brock Lesnar(c) vs Cain Velasquez – WWE Championship Match
Preview- Cain Velasquez has had a successful MMA career and then he moved to pro-wrestling. A perfect recipe from WWE’s point of view. He gets a big debut at SmackDown’s Fox premiere and confronts Brock Lesnar. Same Lesnar whom he has already beaten comprehensively to win the UFC Heavyweight Championship. He is portrayed as a man who Lesnar fears. This is the first time Lesnar is shown in this light and it is definitely refreshing to see.

Prediction- The way in which Velasquez defeated Lesnar in their UFC fight in 2010, he should be winning this match. But he is not the same man after so many injuries and surgeries. Also, Lesnar is a far more experienced campaigner in pro-wrestling. And did I mention that titles don’t change hand in Saudi Arabia? Brock Lesnar for the win.
Team Hulk Hogan vs Team Ric Flair
Preview- If compulsory for WWE to bring some names from the past to Saudi Arabia for every show of theirs. At Greatest Royal Rumble, it was John Cena. At Crown Jewel 2018, it was Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, and Kane. While at Super ShowDown 2019, it was Goldberg. This time around, it will be Hulk Hogan again and Ric Flair. But they will not be in the matches but will work as the make-believe coaches of 5 men tag teams.
On the participants, it is the babyfaces Roman Reigns, Rusev, Ricochet, Ali and Shorty G on Hogan’s side. While the heels Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura, Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin and Bobby Lashley on the other side.
Prediction- With minimal impacts on storylines further, it makes no sense if Vince McMahon does not give a win to Hulk Hogan’s team of babyfaces here. Bonus Prediction- Roman Reigns will not get the pin.
Largest Tag Team Turmoil Match for the World Cup Trophy
Preview- Last year, WWE held the whole World Cup tournament in a 4 hour PPV. There was hardly any memorable match during the tournament which was clearly looked like an attempt to cram in the matches. This year, they thought better than repeating that dismal tournament. The World Cup will be contested once again at Crown Jewel 2019. But it will be for tag teams this year and will technically be a single match. A Tag Team Turmoil match for that matter!! The Largest ever in WWE. Whether it will prove to be better than last year’s World Cup, is highly doubtable though. The teams taking part in the match are as follows:

- WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Revival
- The New Day
- The OC
- Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler
- Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder

Predictions- The Viking Raiders have the momentum right now and should be the ones getting over at WWE Crown Jewel 2019.
20 Men Battle Royal and WWE United States Championship Match
Preview- AJ Styles was the only male champion that was not on the card and only two titles were defended at Crown Jewel 2019 until the announcement of this set of matches. AJ Styles did not have any active storyline going other than his recent confrontation with Kevin Owens. But as Owens is unlikely to travel to Saudi Arabia, WWE needed a new challenger for Styles’ United States championship. And that too for one night only. Hence, the 20 Men Battle Royal and the winner of that match will face AJ Styles for the WWE United States Championship later in the night.
The participants for the Battle Royal are as follows: WWE 24/7 Champion Sunil Singh, Mojo Rawley, Erick Rowan, R-Truth, Sin Cara, The Brian Kendrick, Titus O’Neil, Tony Nese, Akira Tozawa, Shelton Benjamin, Apollo Crews, Buddy Murphy, Andrade, Drake Maverick, Eric Young, Luke Harper, Cedric Alexander, Heath Slater, Humberto Carrillo, No Way Jose.
Prediction- Humberto Carrillo to win the Battle Royal but AJ Styles will be retaining the title.
