Rodrick Strong to Defend Title in a Triple Threat Match on NXT
Rodrick Strong will defend his NXT North American Championship title in a triple threat match next week on NXT(23 October 2019) against Keith Lee and Dominic Dijakovic.
Earlier, Velveteen Dream was to face Rodrick Strong in a rematch for the title next week. But the Undisputed Era assaulted him backstage in last night’s episode of NXT. After this, NXT General Manager William Regal announced that Velveteen Dream is in no condition to compete for next week and may even be out for a month.
Regal would then announce that Rodrick Strong will still defend North American title and the contender will be chosen through the match between Keith Lee and Dominic Dijakovic. This was the fourth match between Lee and Dijakovic this year with each having one win and one draw. The match ended when Rodrick Strong once again interfered and hit both men with the North American title belt.
If Rodrick Strong thought that his troubles are over for next week, he was mistaken. Just as Strong was retreating after his attack, William Regal took the mic and announced that he will now have to defend the title against both Lee and Dijakovic.
