Welcome to the Live Results and Updates blog for Monday Night RAW’s season premiere episode of 30 Sept 2019 from Talking Stick Resort Arena in Pheonix, Arizona. WWE has the perfect opportunity to reboot their TV programs and tweak the way they present it. But will they? It will be clear by the end of the night!! Let’s wait and watch. A new opening WWE-then, now and forever vignette and then a new RAW opening video open the season premiere episode. The new commentary team of Vic Joseph, Dio Madin and Jerry Lawler welcome us to the show.
The Beast Decimates!!
Rey Mysterio is coming out for the opening segment. His son, Dominic, is in the front row. Rey takes the mic and says that he will win the Universal Championship tonight. He has barely started when he is interrupted by Brock Lesnar’s entrance. With Paul Heyman in tow, Lesnar hits the ring. He snatches the mic from Rey’s hand and gives it to Heyman. Rey is infuriated and snatches the mic back from Heyman.
This was enough for Lesnar to start decimating Rey. Lesnar hits a couple of F5s to Rey and Rey is down. Lesnar is now looking towards Dominic. After standing up to Lesnar for a few seconds, Dominic meekly sits back. But Lesnar picks him up and throws him over the barricade. He hits his back into the ring post before bringing him to the ring. He hits more devastating moves on both Rey and Dominic and leaves the ring.
But then he returns back to the ring and hits a suplex each on Rey and Dominic. Lesnar exits the ring again and Heyman continues to try to take him back. Some officials have also come out to attempt to control the situation. Lesnar gets into the ring again and starts taking out guys from the crew and Fit Finlay. Lesnar kicks Rey out of the ring along with his son. Lesnar paces around the ring and is swarmed with the boos. He takes his shirt off and laughs at the crowd as the boos get louder.
Sasha Banks vs Alexa Bliss
Sasha Banks is out in a black & purple costume. She is followed by her opponent Alexa Bliss. Now, Becky Lynch has also come out and joins the announce team to watch this match. Banks decks Bliss with a couple of punches and then a forearm strike to start. Bliss turns it around in the corner and hits a few kicks. Sasha backdrops her out of the ring and starts yelling at Becky from the ring. Becky also stands on the table and yells back at her as we head to a break.
Banks traps Bliss in the apron and flattens her with a right hand. Lynch is still standing up on the announce table and is taping her hands as the match goes on. Banks brings Bliss back into the ring and keeps control. We hear an ambulance siren and the announcers say it was Dominick being taken to the hospital. Lawler also says Lesnar is being questioned by the cops.
Bliss ends up turning it around and sending Banks face-first into the turnbuckles. Bliss mounts offense with a series of clotheslines now. Bliss keeps control until Banks charges with a big knee to the jaw for a 2 count. Bliss counters and rocks Banks a few times. Banks blocks a shot and goes down but pleads for Bliss to take it easy. She calls out for Bayley, which was a trick to sucker Bliss as Banks kicks her in her injured leg and covers her with a handful of tights for the win.
