King of the Ring 2019 Tournament Quarterfinals
The 2019 edition of King of the Ring Tournament will move to quarterfinals this week. The first match will be Samoa Joe(defeated Cesaro in 1st round) vs Ricochet(defeated Drew McIntyre in 1st round). There is an existing dynamics between these two as Ricochet was the one who took the United States title away from Joe. And all that to only lose it to AJ Styles three weeks later.
The second one will be Cedric Alexander, who is coming from wins against Sami Zayn in 1st round and Cesaro earlier this week, to take on WWE’s perennial heel Baron Corbin, who himself is returning after some off-time and with a changed look.
Rey Mysterio to return after two weeks
Rey Mysterio has been losing far too much in recent times against the like of Bobby Lashley, Andrade and others. The recent 2 out of 3 falls match against Andrade was bordering on insult as he tried to rip-off Rey’s mask, considered the utmost disrespect for a Luchador. Bogged down by all of this, Rey was about to announce his retirement on RAW two weeks back. But he was stopped by his son Dominic who asked him to continue as he wants to partner with him when he debuts. So, two weeks since then, Rey has been off the radar but will make his return this week.
Banks Statement
Sasha Banks made it clear last week that she wants all the attention on her. It is for the same attention that she attacked Natalya since her return and targetted her wrath towards Becky Lynch. Becky herself has stayed away since the beatdown from Sasha and instead only cut promos against Sasha. However, after defeating Natalya last week at RAW, Sasha might turn her attention towards Becky for good now.
Monday Night Brollins
Clash of Champions is going to be interesting for Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman. They would first fight against Roode & Ziggler to defend their RAW Tag Team Titles. And then, they will fight against each other for the Universal Championship. On top of that, there is the continuous presence of the OC around them. Their arrangement has been harmonious till now but expects it end sooner or later.
