Shayna Baszler vs Mia Yim Confirmed for NXT Takeover: Toronto

The NXT Women’s Championship match is now confirmed for NXT Takeover: Toronto 2019 with Shayna Baszler to defend the title against Mia Yim.

Shayna Baszler has been rolling over the NXT Women’s division ever since her TV debut. She won the NXT Women’s Championship for the second time at WWE Evolution last year. She has successfully defended the title at every Takeover event since then and is reaching almost 300 days in her second title reign.

Mia Yim has risen through the ranks in recent months after stringing some continuous wins at NXT TV. Although it is during the last few weeks only when she has stepped up her pursuit for the Women’s title. While Shayna has been dodging her for weeks now, Yim went on to assault her friends Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke at the WWE Performance Center.

This week, Shayna Baszler called her out to talk face to face instead of attacking her friends. Yim just got what she wanted as she came out to confront the champ. After a segment with a promo and counter promo, we are told by the commentary team that they will face off at Takeover: Toronto.
