Shawn Spears, Tye Dillinger from WWE, shocked everyone when he attacked Cody Rhodes at Fyter Fest during his match against Darby Allin. It became clear that it was an angle for Spears and Cody to face-off at All Out. Now, the confirmation for the said match has come from the top hierarchy of AEW.

In his media scrum after Fight For the Fallen on Saturday night in Jacksonville, AEW President Tony Khan answered questions for nearly 30 minutes on a variety of topics. He mentioned that AEW weekly TV show details will be provided before All Out. He also went on to say that they will need to start building up the matches for All Out between Chris Jericho and Adam Page, Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega, and between Cody Rhodes and Shawn Spears.

Spears is already announced to sit down for an interview with Jim Ross regarding his attack on Cody. The interview will come with the first episode of Road to All Out Youtube series. Cody slammed a chair straight onto Cody’s head. AEW later clarified that the chair was gimmicked to minimize potential head injury. But the lip of the backrest ended up gashing the back of Cody’s head, which required a dozen staples to close the wound.

Spears was part of the six men tag team match at Fight for the Fallen where he successfully won the match for this team by pinning Darby Allin. The same Darby Allin that Cody was unable to defeat in the 20 minutes time limit at Fyter Fest.
