Lucha Bros Defeated Young Bucks for AAA Tag Team Titles
Lucha Bros, Rey Fenix and Pentagon Jr., has won the AAA Tag Team Championship Titles after they defeated from the Young Bucks, Matt and Nick Jackson, at Verano de Escandalo event in Merida, Mexico.
The Young Bucks won the titles at the Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide event in March after making a surprise challenge to the Lucha Bros moments after they had won the titles for the first time as a team. But the feud started even before that, during the AEW Lag Vegas Party where the Luchadors have put the challenge to the Jackson Brothers.
After the Young Bucks won the title, they defended them at Double or Nothing PPV on May 25. The second last match of the night was the only championship bout of the show where the Bucks managed to retain the title.
Late in the match, the Bucks managed to hit a Meltzer Driver on Pentagon Jr., but Fenix managed to save the match by pulling the referee out of the ring. Later, the Lucha Bros nailed Matt Jackson with their Stomp-Package Piledriver double-team finisher to end the match and win back the AAA Tag Team Titles.
