Baron Corbin to face Seth Rollins at Super Showdown 2019
Baron Corbin will face Universal Champion Seth Rollins after defeating the Miz, Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley in a fatal 4-Way match.
Prior to this week’s Raw, WWE announced a Fatal 4-Way match Bobby Lashley, The Miz, Braun Strowman, and AJ Styles for the right to challenge Seth Rollins at Super ShowDown on June 7. But as we head into the show, AJ Styles was announced to be injured and was replaced by Baron Corbin.
Styles did a backstage interview to confirm that he has hurt his back and will be out for a while. Before he could reveal more, Baron Corbin attacked him to lay him out.
During the match, Lashley and Corbin worked on Strowman and Miz taking turns. One cool spot came when Lashley and Corbin tried to hit a double superplex on the Miz but Strowman rolled them over with a tower of doom.
Strowman and Lashley, who are already booked against each other at Super ShowDown, found themselves fighting in the crowd and their way out of the match. Miz and Corbin were left in the ring to fight it out. Corbin hit the End of Days to get the win and become the no. 1 contender.
