In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was reported that NXT Champion Johnny Gargano has been out of action recently due to a knee injury. Gargano is said to dealing with the same injury since March. That was even before he won the NXT Championship at TakeOver: New York.

Since then he has worked matches at NXT TV tapings and Live events. But it is being reported that he is working most of his tag team matches from the sidelines in a precautionary manner as he is expected to defend the NXT Championship against Adam Cole at TakeOver: XXV.

Bobby Fish of the Undisputed Era is also reported to be injured during a live event match against Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch in Philadelphia. He took a kick to the head from Lorcan and was “knocked silly” as per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Fish tagged out of the match after trying to continue and the referee threw up the “X” sign to signify an injury.

Medical team members looked at Fish at ringside at that point while Kyle O’Reilly finished the match quickly. Fish came out the next night with the Undisputed Era, but his arm was in a sling. It is reportedly not serious and he is hopeful to work the Ladder match for NXT Tag Team Championship at TakeOver: XXV.

NXT Takeover: XXV will take place on 1st June 2019 at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut, United States.
