Adam Page made a surprise appearance yesterday at Wrestle Gate Pro event in Nottingham, England when he answered an open challenge from PAC. The two had a match which ended in disqualification. The interesting bit comes after it, as PAC told Page he would not be going to Double or Nothing.

Now, as per F4WOnline, there were creative differences regarding the match and PAC won’t be on Saturday’s show. Since winning the Open the Dream Gate title with Dragon Gate, PAC has not agreed to face any losses to maintain the credibility of his title run. On the other hand, AEW wanted to ‘present a sports-like atmosphere’ and had their own ideas for what they wanted to see out of PAC and Page’s match.

After it became clear that the match could not happen for the time being, Page agreed to fly to England and work the match to make up for the Double Or Nothing match not happening. AEW plans on releasing that match online for free next week so fans still get to see the two wrestlers in the ring. The DQ finish kept things open ended enough that PAC may be back with the promotion at some point to face Page. Page will also have a new opponent at Double or Nothing now.

As of this writing, AEW has not made it official that the match is canceled and it is still listed on AEW’s official website. It will also be interesting to see if PAC’s match AEW Fyter Fest 2019 will also be canceled after this.
