SummerSlam Rumor: Becky Lynch vs Stephaine McMahon

WrestleMania is still 2 days away but WWE might already have started to plan for next big event that is SummerSlam. The Ringside News is reporting that Stephaine McMahon will take up the role of evil Authority figure against Becky Lynch going forward and the two will end up facing each other at SummerSlam.

Stephaine last worked a match when she partnered her husband Triple H in a mixed tag team match against Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle at last year’s WrestleMania. Since then, there has always been a plan of a one on one match between Steph and Ronda. But with persistent rumors of Ronda leaving WWE for a break, that does not seem to be the case now and the Authority Angle might turn towards Becky.

Stephaine already has some history with Becky when she suspended her from WWE due to denying medical examination after injuring her knee at Royal Rumble. Becky in return attacked her and WWE crew had to intervene. WWE might resume the storyline sometime after WrestleMania and depending upon the response, they might take the call on the match. SummerSlam is scheduled for 11 August this year in Toronto, Canada.
