A returning Mustafa Ali saves Kevin Owens from assault
Kevin Owens went face to face with Daniel Bryan and Rowan to cut a promo to hype the WWE Championship Match at Fastlane. Later on the show, Owens and Rowan worked a singles match which was turned into an assault on Owens and returning Mustafa Ali had to come out to save him.
Daniel Bryan came out to open the show along with Rowan. He started his rant on Owens to hype the WWE title match at Fastlane. Kevin Owens also came out and both of them argued in the promo which ended with Owens trying to attack Bryan. Rowan was at hands to protect his intelectual peer even after being sent out of the ring once. Later a match was set between Rowan and Owens. During the match, Bryan, who was on the commentary desk, continued his verbal attack on Owens which lead to Owens attacking Bryan again.
However, Rowan was again at hands and sent Owens into the steel steps before continuing with the attack. Rowan was preparing the announce table when Mustafa Ali came out to hit Bryan with a dropkick and then took down Rowan with a frankestiener into the steel post. As Ali was busy with Rowan, Bryan hit Ali with the running knee and was getting ready for the Labell lock when Owens came back in the ring to hit the
Ali was about to get a major push in the Gauntlet match and Elimination Chamber match last month, the same spot then went to Kofi. Now it will be interesting to see what will WWE plan for him heading into WrestleMania and are we heading into a Fatal 4-Way match at WrestleMania? Before that though, Daniel Bryan has to get the win over Kevin Owens at Fastlane this Sunday.
