RAW Preview: 25 Feb 2019

RAW will be live from State Farm Arena in Atlanta on 25th February 2019 for an important episode in terms of setting up things for Fastlane and then for Wrestle Mania. Below segments are advertised for the episode:

The Big Dog is back!

On Thursday, WWE announced that Roman Reigns will appear on RAW next week to update us on his battle with Leukemia but instantly many speculations started building that he will reunite the Sheild for one final time before Dean Ambrose departs from WWE. Although later he was also announced to appear on Good Morning America the very next day which indicates a major announcement of sorts. However, in the end, it might still turn out to be just a cameo from him.

A birthday celebration worthy of The Nature Boy

Celebrations at WWE are just not the celebrations ever. It will be used somehow to set up Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair for Fastlane. Although already injured, Becky is scheduled to appear at RAW next week. And WWE has already celebrated Ric Flair’s birthday, so even if Becky crashes this party it will still be ok!!

NXT Superstars on the rise

Four NXT stars made their debut on RAW last week and one more on SmackDown. But we have seen so many stars disappear for some time after their debuts. And with their NXT run in full flow, it seems hard that they will get any significant storyline. So, let’s see whether their run continues and for how long.

There’s something about Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose has become interesting again. He may have been losing a few matches but his promos are one of the best things on RAW recently. I definitely want to see what plans does WWE have for his last few weeks in the company. Is one final Sheild reunion on the cards?

Who will be The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection’s first challengers?

This week, Nia Jax and Tamina came out to challenge Sasha and Bayley for the Women’s Tag Team title but were dispatched off even before they can reach the ring. Whether it will be them, or some other team who will be their first challengers remains to be seen.

What more to expect?

  • WWE want to build Ronda as a monster in the women’s division on the road to WM. So expect a squash match for him.
  • Will Lashley get his rematch against Balor to retain the Intercontinental title?
  • What will be the next step for stars like Braun Strowman, Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin and others?
