This is the blog for results from WWE SmackDown episode of December 18, 2021.
As SmackDown opened, Shane McMahon gave another speech regarding change and giving fans what they want, riling them up. In the end, however, Shane McMahon said that Paige will not go anywhere but her role will change.
Becky Lynch headed to the ring and said she doesn’t care who runs the show because The Man is in charge and demanded a match with Ronda Rousey. Charlotte came out to say she will go against Ronda first. Asuka also came out before a surprising entry of Vince McMahon. He asked why Becky and Charlotte were making excuses for themselves when the match had no rules. He told them to get over it and take it up with Ronda. He asked if Asuka would like to defend her title that night and she agreed.
Asuka vs. Naomi (SmackDown Women’s Championship)
Instead of giving a title shot to Charlotte Flair or Becky Lynch, Vince McMahon reveals Naomi for a title shot against Asuka. Becky and Charlotte are not happy at all. The match started with Becky and Charlotte at the ringside. In a slow but entertaining match, which also moved to ringside for quite some time, Asuka countered Naomi’s jump from the top rope before putting on the Asukalock one last time for the win.

Jeff Hardy and Samoa Joe’s feud continues
Samoa Joe comes out to the ring. Joe says he is here for an intervention as he knows Hardy’s demons are going to come back. Hardy retorts by saying that his past problems are not coming back. Hardy asks him if he is just mad because he has never won a single title in WWE. Joe tries to attack Hardy but Hardy drops him with the Twist of Fate.
Mixed Tag Team Match – The Miz & Mandy Rose vs. R-Truth & Carmella
Mandy Rose and The Miz’s partnered to face Fabulous Truth. Mandy and Mella started the bout before Miz and Truth come in. Truth sends Miz out to the floor with a clothesline. Mella then hit Mandy with a superkick afterward, but Miz was able to sneak in and hit Skull Crushing Finale on Truth for the win.

The Usos vs The Club
The Usos came out and asked for the Bar but they got the Club instead who are fed up of watching from the sidelines for the last few months. Gallows and Anderson started swiftly on their return before the match set in the routine. Uso countered a Suplex from Anderson and was on the top rope when the Bar showed up. Then Sanity came out in the ring leading to a disqualification. The Bar watched on as Sanity destroyed everyone present in the ring. The Smackdown tag team championship is getting more interesting.
Winners: No Contest
Andrade Almas and Daniel Bryan vs. Mustafa Ali and AJ Styles
Coming out for the main event, Bryan again thrashed the entire WWE universe and the crowd. As the match started, Bryan tagged Almas to avoid facing Styles. After countering Alma twice with Irish Whip and a dropkick, Styles tagged out. Alma used his power to take control of Ali and Bryan tagged in. Bryan was sent out of the ring and Styles kicked Almas off the apron before Ali brought down their opponent with a backdrop at the ringside.
Alma and Bryan kept the pressure on Ali for some time. Styles got the tag and cleared his opponents from the ring. After a series of missed moves, AJ hit a tornado DDT and tagged Ali who again hit a DDT on Bryan and then fended off Almas, hitting Bryan with his move and pinning him to win the match.
Winners: AJ Styles and Mustafa Ali
